Is there to be a map reset in 1.3? (1st August)

Just wondering, is there going to be a map reset in 1.3 due to the changes happening in it?
I personally would love a map reset, not just because i'm not one of the people who have recently joined and everyone else is better than me. I just think that the whole layout and look of the spawn might need a freshen up with the new blocks (wooden half-slabs and stairs in shades) would fit perfectly for 1.3.

There probably will not be a reset. Also, we are working on a new spawn. We will just move the spawn.

Was hoping for one though, so many people have been using x-ray and getting tones of diamonds and diamond armour.

I'm sorry to change my opinion like that, but I'm no longer certain that there will be no reset.

We will have to do one sooner or later and 1.3 is the best time to do it. Here are my reasons:

Reasons for:
Large biomes.
New ores.
Will be able to remove multiverse properly (it might be causing serious lag).
People already built their houses and need a fresh start.
Saga rebalance.

Reasons against:
Might be a little too soon.
Stuff lost.

Well, I vote no on a map reset. Same reasons as pretty much everyone else I've heard from:
We already just reset, and all of our items will be lost.

And, just an additional thought, I would probably bring up this topic every so often on the server, since I know that not everyone on lostboys has a forum account.

well i voted yes cause every1 will want to have the 1.3 stuff so we if don't the sever will lose A LOT of players so i suggest we do reset (arggg I'm a pirate)

Well, having no reset will make it even more of a challenge you would have to explore so far out, it would remind me of farlands or bust

We have people spawning stuff with creative in normal world. The reset seems more and more probable.

Were going to need to reset the server on 1.3

Players throughout lostboys have obtained creative mode and do not tell the moderators, then they fly around spawn giving out loads and loads of illegal items. Players will /home or /sspawn and hide their illegal items. I have destroyed many chests filled with mob eggs, stacks upon stacks of diamond blocks and diamonds, Bedrock, and of course MORE DIAMONDS!!!!

Btw, I recommend having pumpkin mart handle all trades with players, I will be keeping track of who trades what in.

I think players would rather reset and enjoy the new updates of minecraft more instead of just staying on an old version with nothing, for me I love starting off getting all my farms done and a place to live My favorite time to play is always after a reset.

I think he posted this topic so the people not wanting a reset gets to keep their builds they like. But i have a feeling that between 1.3 and 1.4, there wont be many changes requiring a reset, the main implementation being the mod API. So hopefully most people at least feel the way i do with the reset. I dont honestly know if it would of actually came round or come to light if not for this forum post
The reset probably would of came though, post or no post, but at least it brought the reset more to light, as most of my friendsa on the server had no idea and it would of taken them by surprise.
