Map or item reset?

I was thinking since the whole creative incident with Taylor, there really ought to be a reset of some kind, literally 1 in 10 people have stacks of 64 diamonds diamond blocks and its pretty ridiculous trying to confiscate it all. So for that reason I think that a map reset or an item reset is needed. Maybe there is a way to get rid of a certain item, so you could just remove all the diamond blocks from the game?

I think jungles require a new map, so if there must be a reset, then that would be the perfect time.

I really don't want to do a reset, because we just had one. That also means that spawn will need to be built again.

I don't think is possoble to remove a certain item.

But then will have to use spawned diamonds instead of blocks... Thats like 8 chests compared to 1...

But seriously, like half the people on the server have spawned diamonds. I think a reset will be needed soon if not now.

P.S. I wont be on the server for a while ( ~ 2 weeks to a month)because of personal issues.

yea actaully it might be a good idea to do a reset. You would not belive how much diamond ive seen around and Such. also xray list is always filled with people many people dont like the idea but i say we need a start

i think it would be a horrible idea i don't want to lose my town

i would be fine with it but i would like to be tped to a mooshroom island, because i found 1 in this update. if u tp me to an island that would be great

I don't think we have much choise if people are running around with spawned diamonds.

Lets just reset it now, no sense in dragging this out and angering more people with losing more stuff.

Yes, and a reset would knock out anyone who has creative anyway so it doesn't matter...

The server is survival and all of these diamonds are just going to damage the game experience
I recommend however that we hold off the reset for a few days/weeks until 1.2 comes out so atleast we will be able to have epic tree houses
It's sad to think that this would happen but we have to do what we have to do

Seems like most agree on a reset. It will be sad for some to lose there belongings but I am sure many will be happy with the exciting new Animals and Biomes in 1.2, I support reset when the 1.2 bukkit comes out. Hope you agree

Interesting I thought we would get a lot of people against the reset here.
Now we can say that there was a poll on the forums and everyone agreed . I'm such a politician!

Redrooster lets be realistic for a sec
There is no way we can expect the mods to replace everyones items and to replace yours would mean that they would have to do the same for everyone.
What part of "re-set" do you not understand?
This re-set is no different from the last one. No items, No levels. everyone just starts from scratch.
